Wednesday, 20 August, was the anniversary of Norway's ratification of the ILO Convention 169 on Indigenous and Tribal Peoples
This Convention is still the only binding international law instrument in this area. The UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People, the UNDRIP, is generally not considered a binding international legal instrument.
